Product Details & Applications
Multi-secondary oil cooled transformer is the special transformer having one high voltage winding and multiple secondary windings [in range of 10 to 50] on same limb. Three-phase low voltage winding terminations are provided on sidewall of the transformer main tank by specifically designed epoxy terminal board to have termination arrangement in compact space with isolation and offers overall installation in compact footprint. Oil cooled construction suitable to extended HVDC isolation requirement, can be installed in outdoor/semi-outdoor installation, and have minimum maintenance requirement with oil moisture removal arrangement. Special electrical design is suitable to the application where input load current is largely polluted by harmonics, energization on daily basis and cyclic load application. In addition, Multi-secondary transformers supports HVDC isolation requirement between individual secondary windings and secondary windings to ground in addition to AC isolation requirement. Also, Multi-secondary transformer can be offered with duct to provide additional protection to LV cables and Secondary termination from hazardous environment. Multi-Secondary transformer required at the input stage of Pulse Step Modulation [PSM] based modular High voltage power supply system. Primary winding of Multi-secondary transformer is connected with high voltage grid line and stepdown grid voltage to isolated low voltage through individual secondary windings.
