96kV, 7.2MW, Fast High Voltage Power Supply

Outline

The High Voltage Power Supplies (HVPS) are used for Particle Accelerators, Broadcast Transmitters, Defense Research as well as Radio Frequency Amplifiers/Oscillators , covers the potential use in physics experiments , Industrial and medical applications. Pulse Step Modulation based HVPS was developed for Acceleration of Particles for ITER. Delivered similar system is also functional at Neutral Beam test facility, Padua, Italy. The HVPS provide required voltage with precise control on ripple, regulation, resolution and dynamics in µS order for elongated pulse of 3600 seconds, including different modulation strategies too.

Testing / Validation

2 Units were developed and validated on Resistive Loads. One of the delivered unit at Neutral Beam Test facility, Italy is being used by Ion Source since the year 2018 without any issue.

Present status

Commercial scale model: Both HVPSs units were manufactured by M/s. Electronics Corporation of India Ltd. under the Technology Transfer Agreement with IPR.
